Everybody knows Wikipedia and a lot of people know what a wiki is. Adoption of wikis within a professional context is on the rise, even in Belgium. Wikis are for instance used at Belgacom, Dexia and even in the Belgian Army (see http://fr.documentatwork.be/downloads/wikidreamwork.pdf).
Wikipodium is an opportunity for people working with wikis in a professional context (company, school, university, government, non-profit, ...) to exchange experiences. It is a non-commercial initiative open to everyone interested in wikis : wiki users, wiki implementers, providers of wiki solutions, consultants with wiki experience, ...
A first WikiPodium meeting will take place on Thursday November 27, 2008 from 18h until 21h. Namahn hosts this meeting at their offices in Brussels. Drinks and sandwiches will be offered by Namahn. Please have a look at http://www.namahn.com/profile/reach.htm for instructions on how to reach Namahn. The number of seats for the WikiPodium meeting is limited to 20.
If you are interested in getting to know other people working with wikis in a professional context, let us know if you would like to attend the first WikiPodium meeting. If you can not attend this meeting but are interested in being informed on future WikiPodium events, please let us know.
We would like to have an idea of the wiki experiences of the participants of the first WikiPodium meeting. Therefore, please share in your email your experiences with wikis : are you already working with wikis, are you planning to, do you have relevant information relative to wikis, ... ?
We hope to see you at the WikiPodium meeting.
