Banksys presents terminal designed with Namahn's assistance

Namahn assisted in the design of the new C-ZAM/XENTA terminal that Banksys is presenting to the press today.
From the start of the project, Banksys committed itself to a user-centered design process by putting ease of use, installation and maintenance high on the project agenda. They took Namahn on board in the project to make sure these goals could be met.

Our activities were:

• Collaborating closely with the Banksys design team from the start, making sure the design process was user-centered and remained so throughout the project. We supervised the ergonomic and accessibility side of the design process, both for hardware and software
• Performing acceptance tests on a prototype of the new terminal, by taking it into the field and letting both cardholders and merchants score and test the hardware and software of the terminal
• Performing usability tests on a mock-up of the terminal software
• Producing interface design guidelines for the development of software for the new terminal, so that developers other than those from Banksys could achieve the same standards in accessibility and usability
• Producing an installation and service manual for the new terminal
