Information Visualisation Training
“A picture is worth a thousand words.” By now it’s a cliché, but it remains true. Indeed, one study found that high quality infographics are 30 times more likely to be read than text articles. For today’s time pressured consumer or businessperson, infographics are a convenient way to quickly grasp key information. Moreover, infographics are superb at visualising complex data, processes, concepts or stories. In fact, the visual display or representation of information has been practiced since the first caveman painted on a wall—and more recently by newspapers and magazines—but infographics have only recently become a major trend in communication.
Although infographics are a useful and increasingly widespread communication tool, this is a subject that is hardly taught in schools. Are you wondering how you can use infographics in your marketing or other communications? Do you know which type of infographic (diagram, chart, pictogram, etc.) to use and when to use it?
Namahn’s information visualisation training provides participants with both a solid understanding of information graphics and the know-how to use them in practice. During this training session, we take real-world cases and run through the relevant steps of the Namahn method:
- Assessment
- Ideation
- Mental modelling
- Conceptual design
- Prototyping (and testing)

As a participant in this training, you’ll learn:
- How to visualise quantitative data, information, structures and processes
- How to represent nearly any type of entity such as people, time, location, stories, quantities or classifications
- How and when to use diagrams, pictograms, pictures and animation
