Jobs
We are currently looking for human-centered designers to join Namahn. On average (but who wants to be average) we look for designers who:
- have a degree that is relevant to new media, human-centered design, information architecture or interaction design
- like to apply design skills to high-stakes, multi-faceted business problems.
- are persuasive, both in person and in writing
- have the skills to facilitate collaborative workshops
- are fascinated by technology, but not fatally attracted to it
- have programming skills sufficient to create high-fidelity prototypes
- are always curious about the human factor in technical projects
- look for intellectually challenging assignments while being able to maintain a good work-life balance
- can easily come to work at our office in central Brussels
- if you are Belgian, speak Dutch + French + English; if you are not Belgian, speak excellent English + a few other languages
We offer a fair compensation package + an attractive profit sharing scheme.
Please write to jobs@namahn.com and point to elements of your portfolio. We will treat your application with due respect of confidentiality. Mail conversation may lead to phone conversations, an in-person meeting and a formal presentation.
Internships and academic visits
Namahn welcomes applications for internships. Interns get an opportunity to participate fully in all Namahn activities and to contribute to client projects, including field work. Interns who stay at least four months become paid employees. The others receive a small allowance to cover travel and work-related expenses within Belgium, but no salary.
We screen and select candidate interns as if they were candidate employees.
We welcome residencies by academics for sabbaticals or final-paper/PhD work. For the time being, we cannot offer financial support.
Please write to info@namahn.com.
