Zahra Kamooneh
Service Designer
Specialises in: service design, research, human-centred and strategic design
Zahra is a service designer at Namahn, combining architectural thinking, structured problem-solving, and user-centred research to create comprehensive service solutions. She joined the team in 2025 after winning the Circularity Prize for her postgraduate work developing reusable packaging systems for HORECA establishments in Mechelen.
Her multidisciplinary background uniquely positions her to tackle complex design challenges. Having taught architecture at the university level, Zahra understands how to break down intricate systems and communicate design principles effectively. She is detail-oriented and applies methodologies gathered from architecture, strategic design, and service design to approach each project with fresh perspective and analytical depth.
Zahra’s portfolio demonstrates her range across service development, public space design, and strategic planning. She has led user and contextual research that directly informed user experience and service transformations, developed frameworks that guide organisational change, and facilitated co-creation workshops that bring diverse stakeholders into alignment. Her work consistently bridges the gap between strategic vision and practical implementation.
Outside of work, Zahra is an enthusiastic traveller with a gift for noticing. She loves discovering through long walks, wandering through neighbourhoods, and experiencing the authentic character of cities while taking time to notice the details that make each location unique.
